For DO IT! at St. John’s, Levine will present a performance lecture that addresses the ongoing interchange between dance and the visual arts, including a performance of Yvonne Rainer's iconic 1965 Trio A. As dance is considered more through the lens of visual art, Levine’s work makes a counter claim, that visual art works may be understood instead as choreographies stilled in time. Discussion with Professor Susan Rosenberg to follow.
